Field Service Engineer

Responsible for installing, servicing, and performing basic training on all Sodick machinery, the field service engineer will troubleshoot both electronic and mechanical problems that can occur on-site by using proper basic testing equipment.

Job Description

The Jr. Product Specialist reports to the National Service Manager and is responsible for assisting the National Service Manager on various technical support an analysis duty, sale support through test cuts and demonstrations, and problem solving and service of Sodick WEDM, EDM, High Speed Milling Machines and 3D printer. Job Description
Manage the transfer of technology from Sodick Japan and its overseas factories to Sodick, Inc. by providing updated product and engineering information regarding Sodick electric discharge machines (“EDMs”) including Wire EDMs, Sinker EDMs, Small Hole EDMs, High-speed Milling machines, and Metal 3-D Printing machines to Service Engineers and Application Engineers at Sodick, Inc.; Support sales and service by supplying technical documentation for parts and service departments needed from Sodick Japan and its overseas factories, along with acting as technical liaison between Sodick Global Group and North America for any technical support necessary and handling special machine option requests by providing special specifications to the Sodick factory based upon customer needs and requirements; Exchange technical information with Sodick Japan and its overseas factories regarding specifications and features of Sodick machines, recommending machine modifications and improvements to Sodick Japan; Test measurement and analytic equipment utilized at the Sodick facility and training Service Engineers and Application Engineers regarding the most recent technical developments by Sodick Japan. Job Description

The Business and Marketing Intern reports directly to the Marketing Manager and assists with a wide variety of marketing and communication projects, including social media, print publications, email campaigns, etc. Working with the Marketing Manager and other internal departments, the Business and Marketing Intern will help create, edit, and manage content that is shared internally within the organization as well as with Sodick’s external audiences.
