Linear motor drive system

Our flat rigid linear motor drive system on the X, Y, and Z-Axes semi-permanently sustains high speed axes-movements and instantaneous responses. There is no mechanical contact within the flat rigid linear motor drive system, resulting in stable machining accuracy and reliability that is sustained for years.

Temperature changes are one of the greatest threats to high-precision machining. The AP30L collectively manages ambient temperature changes and internal heat generation through a comprehensive Total Temperature Control system. This includes an optimum high-rigidity mechanical structure by CAE analysis, separated heat source structure, machining-fluid temperature control, and integrated ceramics, all working together to protect dimensional accuracy with every machining cycle.

The AP30L’s ultra-lightweight Z-axis head employs CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced polymer), ceramics, and a symmetrical structure to generate extreme high-speed jump performance. The CFRP-reinforced slider and lightweight design for moving parts enable unparalleled response speed and precision, keeping the machine competitive in even the most demanding micro-machining applications.

The AP30L is equipped with an advanced SP/SP-E power supply, featuring a full suite of discharge circuits that improve performance across the entire machining range. The Arc-less 4 system maintains steady, balanced discharge conditions for faster speeds and suppressed electrode wear. TMM4 delivers faster rough machining with short-pulse, high-peak current. TPC4 accelerates semi-finishing with a narrow spark gap. BSN4 improves micro-finishing speed; particularly useful for narrow-pitch connectors. The SVC circuit provides high-speed, high-quality surface finishing refined through generations of innovation.

The AP30L’s LN Pro AI system allows operators to select optimal machining parameters through a simple 4-step process: shape, machining plan, conditions, and position. AI reasoning and EDM expertise are built into the system, helping less experienced operators achieve the highest machining performance in any application.

The AP30L’s horizontal 19-inch touch screen control panel enhances visibility and user-friendliness with an always-on display of utilities and machining conditions. One-touch operation, an enlarged coordinate value display, and integrated functions including User Guide, Calculator, Temperature Graph, AIM AI Maintenance, Mode List, and S-Viewer create an easy, yet comprehensive user experience.
