Precision that holds at scale

Feature resolution, thermal consistency, and residual stress are what decide whether a printed part meets spec. Our machines are engineered around all three factors to provide unwavering precision no matter your production volume.

OPM Series
Printing and milling inside a single platform. A 500 W laser paired with a 40,000 RPM milling spindle handles both production and finishing without the need for a secondary process or manual part repositioning.
Print 100 Series
Compact powder bed fusion for research, education, dental, and micro-scale precision work. Full open-parameter control in a footprint that fits a lab bench or a corner of the shop floor.
Print 200 Series
Industrial-grade powder bed fusion sized for prototyping, material qualification, and small-batch production. A bidirectional recoater reduces changeover time, and the dual-laser configuration adds dynamic load balancing for higher throughput without adding complexity for the operator.
Print 300 Series
Built for continuous production. Automatic chamber extraction moves depowdering off the machine so the next build can start as the previous is still being processed, and powder management scales from manual to fully pneumatic. Available in single, dual, and quad-laser configurations.
Print 400 Series
Our largest powder bed fusion platform, engineered for medium-to-large components where size and process stability both matter. The XL configuration extends the Z axis past 39″ for tall parts that fall outside the limits of conventional powder bed machines, which makes it a fit for aerospace technology, turbine hardware, and oil and gas pressure components.
ZENIT Cell
Our large-format platform, engineered for speed, scale, and multi-process flexibility. Build large components from scratch, restore worn tooling to spec, or apply a wear-resistant surface layer to your parts. An optional sealed chamber holds the inert atmosphere that titanium and aluminum require.

Test print your part before you buy the machine

Send us your files, we’ll print them with production powder on a production machine, and you measure the end result.

3D Print Test Lab

Add lasers without sacrificing quality

Our lasers operate at 100% overlap. Every laser can reach every point on the build area, and the software distributes work dynamically as the build progresses. No region of the part belongs to any one laser, so there are no seams and no zone-to-zone variation to compensate for.

Scalable automation

Print and finish without a second setup

OPM machines alternate between building and milling inside a single automatic operation, finishing surfaces throughout the additive process.

Fine detail

Prove new materials with ease

With open parameters, your engineers have the freedom to test laser power, scan strategy, and layer thickness so you can qualify a new alloy or proprietary powder blend.

AI assisted optimization

The onboard AI assistant recommends parameter adjustments, catches anomalies mid-build, and flags maintenance before it turns into downtime.

Parts and consumables stocked in the US

Critical spares and consumables are warehoused stateside rather than shipped from overseas when something goes down.

Service teams that respond fast

Field service engineers based across the Midwest, Northeast, and West are ready to troubleshoot when you need it most.

Frequently Asked Questions

Metal 3D printing, also known as additive manufacturing, builds parts by adding material in layers to construct a part rather than cutting away from a material.

  • Powder bed fusion works inside a sealed box filled with metal powder. A laser traces your part into each layer, fusing powder into solid metal while the rest stays loose. Best for fine detail, tight tolerances, and internal channels.
  • Direct energy deposition is closer to automated welding. A nozzle moves through open space, melting metal wire or powder with a laser or an electric arc and laying it down in the directed path.

In practice: powder bed fusion prints a new turbine component from scratch. Direct energy deposition repairs and rebuilds a worn mold in a couple of hours instead of replacing it.

Yes. 3D metal printers can be used as full production machines, not just prototyping equipment.

Sodick machines come equipped with these features to allow for full-scale production:

  • Automatic chamber extraction. Depowder externally while the next job runs.
  • Scalable powder handling. Manual loading up to a fully automated closed loop.
  • Gas-tight filtration. Automatic backflushing and passivation, built for 24/7 operation.
  • Dual and quad lasers. More throughput, no quality tradeoff.
  • Predictive maintenance. Problems get flagged before they stop a run.

Multiple machines can also link into an automated line with robotic part handling and centralized powder supply.
